Target group

A target group is a specific group of people at whom a certain action is aimed. It is often a group of people that an organisation wants to approach in order to bring a product, service or message to their attention. The more specific the target group, the more successful the campaign.

In order to properly attune a marketing campaign to the target group, you need to specify a number of things. For example, specify the gender, age, location, education level, income and home situation of the intended target group. Based on this information, you can determine which social media or platform is most suitable to reach the target group. You can also adjust the tone of voice accordingly. This way, you create targeted content.

An effective way to appeal to the right target group is, for example, the use of influencers. Influencers often have a certain niche, a large reach and a lot of engagement.
